Welcome to Shepardson Elementary School's
PE & Wellness Website
Shepardson is partcipating in the 2012 School's on the Move Challenge!
The Schools on the Move Challenge is a one month program to help increase the amount of exersice students, teachers and school staff get each day and week. Research shows that daily exercise (at least 60 minutes most days) helps reduce the risk of health problems, helps kids to get better grades, to focus in class, and to have better memory skills. This year's Challenge also includes weekly fruit and veggie, screen time, and sugary drink challenges. Join the Challenge to get fit and healthy and win prizes for Shepardson!
Student's recieved their challenge log in their Friday Folders on Friday Jan. 27th. Keep track of their daily activity during the month of Febuary. The goal is to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Remember that you can break up your activity over the course of the day! Record activities and check the box each day you get 60 minutes or more. This year you can include PE and extra school day activity breaks that your class participates in!
If you have any questions please email Mr. Kantor @ akantor@psdschools.org
